Fun little Racks..

So my buddy Alex has entered that time in his biking life where he’s tired of carrying a bag. So he was looking for some small light load carrying racks for his fixed gear. Now with his frame being pretty minimal, it was not equipped with eyelets for mounting racks really. So we started looking at some of the racks that were designed to be used with p-clamps, and we decided to go with Nitto for both.

Now the front rack is the Nitto M18 mini. It comes with a nice little tang that’s bent perfectly to fit just behind his brake caliper and clamp in with the brake bolt. Now some frames don’t have this clearance between the bottom headset cup and the brake hole, so you have to go with a different style tang bolting system, but his frame did so that’s why we went with this one.

Then the struts simply come down and attach to p-clamps which secure it to the fork blades. This rack is great for supporting a handlebar bag or basket like we did on this one.

Then the rear rack is the Nitto R10 bag supporter. This thing is great and we have used it on a few bikes that have come out of here in the past. It has a great looking and sturdy clamp set-up to the seatpost.

Again, this rack’s great for a large/medium saddle bag or basket. They’re both just nice looking, functional racks that can add a little practicality to your bike if you need it.

Not bike related at all…

So a buddy of mine gave all us guys Grandpa’s wonder pine tar soap for X-mas. It’s not too often that i get stoked on soap, so i figured this was post-worthy.
I was a little weary of the overwhelming scent at first, but seeing as I’ve used and liked Grandpa’s products in the past, I gave it a shot. When I opened the box and placed it in the shower, it immediately filled the whole bathroom with the thick pine tar scent. I was digging it. I really wanted to head right out and go camping or hiking or something outdoors, or hell, just manual labor. Anyway, I’m a fan. Check it out.

NB supports the hero class…
Brad Boemanns, Metro Atlanta Firefighter, was burned while fighting a structure fire a few weeks ago. He sustained serious burns, which required skin grafts at Grady’s burn center. He is back at home, but this has created a hardship for him and his family. So if you are able to help out, you can make donations at any Wells Fargo Bank under the “Brad Boemanns Recovery Fund”.

Another Torpado-

We built this one up for my buddy Chris. This one has a nice mix of old record and victory Campy parts.

We topped it off with a nice hand cut vintage Brooks professional saddle.

Mantovani(Moser) Complete!

How cute is this thing? She’s set up with 26″ wheels and looks like a fun little ride. The rear hub is a sturmey archer 2 speed kickback/coaster brake.
